Miner Hotel Robbed Thursday Morning
The Comfort Inn on Mathews Lane in Miner was robbed around 2 a.m. this morning. Three Hispanic men came into the lobby, went behind the counter and tied the up the female clerk at the desk. They stole cash from the hotel, ran out the door and got into a blue SUV and took off in an unknown direction. Police are hoping to release pictures or video of the suspects soon.

Chaffee Jr. High Football Player Injured
An 8th grade boy from Chaffee was injured and air-lifted to the hospital during a junior high home football game Thursday night. The boy was tackled with a clean hit during the Chaffee Junior High and Portageville Junior High game. He suffered a leg injury and there is no word on how severe the injury is. The boy was air lifted to St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. His name is not being released at this time.

Cape Girardeau Power Outage
A power outage knocked out power to around 2,000 AmerenUE customers in Cape Girardeau Thursday morning. By 1 in the afternoon the website said that power was restored to all but 20 of the customers. This outage was the second one in less than a month in Cape Girardeau.
