APRIL 5 -- Republican Lincoln Day Dinner 6:00 p.m. at the Clinton Building

APRIL 8 -- Swim Team signups from 4:30 - 7:00 p.m. at the Chamber office.

APRIL 9 -- Family Medicine of Southeast Missouri is hosting a Ribbon Cutting at the Medical Arts Building, 808 East Wakefield at 1:30 p.m. Please come by and greet
Dr. Vicki Roberts. All Chamber members and their guest are invited to attend!

APRIL 10 -- Career & Job Expo, National Guard Armory, 1702 State Highway 114, Dexter, MO from 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. There will be no charge to participate in the Job Fair and lunch will be provided for vendors. Please contact Gary Schaefer on or before Monday,

APRIL 11-12 -- 14th Annual Redneck BBQ at the Jaycee Rodeo Grounds. Friday nite will
be the "Was-Zat" competition. Saturday will be the BBQ with concessions, kids games
and more.

APRIL 12 -- Bootheel Counseling Services announce their First Annual Motorcycle Poker Run! The Poker Run will leave from Bootheel Counseling Services, 760 Plantation Blvd. with last bike out at 11:00 a.m. Registration begins at 10:00 a.m. Fee will be $25.00 per person. APRIL 15 -- The Small Business Development Center of Southeast Missouri State University will be conducting counseling sessions for area small business persons and individuals planning business ventures. The counselor, Gil Degenhardt, will be available on Tuesday, April 15, 2008 from 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a. m. at the Sikeston Chamber of Commerce, 1 Industrial Drive, Sikeston, MO. Call 573/471-2498 for an appointment. The counseling sessions (approximately one hour) are free of charge to persons taking advantage of the service.

APRIL 17 -- A Ribbon Cutting has been scheduled for Audibel Hearing Aid Center at
10:00 a.m. Audibel will be located inside Clearview Eye Care at 249 North Main. All Chamber members and their guests are invited to attend.

APRIL 17 -- Swim Team signups from 4:30 - 7:00 p.m. at the Chamber office.

APRIL 22 -- The Annual Banquet Committee will meet at 12:00 p.m. at the Chamber
Office.

APRIL 23 -- 11th Annual Sikeston Lions Club Tournament! 3 Person Scramble
$150.00 per Team. Come join us at the Sikeston Country Club, registration and lunch
will begin at 12:00 p.m.. Registration deadline is April 14 and golf carts must be
reserved by April 21. Over $4000 in door prizes and gifts. To become a hole sponsor please call Britt McConnell at 472-2002 or Allen Small at 472-6432.

APRIL 24 -- 2nd Annual "Taste of Sikeston and Southeast Missouri" sponsored by Food Giant. The event is scheduled for April 24th at the Sikeston National Guard Armory from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tickets will be on sale through the Food Giant Stores, Food Giant office, and the American Cancer Society. Ticket prices will be $25.00 per couple or $15.00 in advance or $20.00 at the door per individual. All proceeds will go to the American
Cancer Society. If anyone is interested in purchasing tickets or wanting to showcase
your business please call Gayle Childs, Food Giant at 472-2911 or Julie Aycock,
American Cancer Society at 471-1873.

APRIL 25 -- The First United Methodist men will be hosting a FISH FRY from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. at 1307 N. Main in Sikeston. More information to come.

APRIL 25 -- Grant Financial Management will have a Ribbon Cutting, 10:00a.m. at
124 East Center. All Chamber members and their guests are invited!

APRIL 26 -- 2nd Annual Sikeston in Bloom: This second annual event at American
Legion Park will feature plant & flower sales, arts & craft vendors, concessions, live musical entertainment, the Southeast Explorer, children's activities, pony rides &
a petting zoo, cake walks, contests, and more!

APRIL 26 -- The YMCA is hosting a 5K/Youth Fun Run in conjunction with Sikeston in Bloom! Both races will begin and end at the historic Sikeston Depot. All participants that register by April 16 will receive a free t-shirt. You can register at the YMCA starting
March 15. The cost for the 5K will be $12.00 if registered by April 16, after April 16 the
cost will be $16.00, Youth Fun Run will be $10.00.
